
Mohamed Zeeshan
Mohamed Zeeshan is a foreign affairs researcher, columnist and the author of Flying Blind: India’s Quest for Global Leadership (Penguin 2021). He is currently Associate Editor of the South Asian Voices journal at The Stimson Center, a Staff Writer for The Diplomat, and author of ‘The Z Factor’ - a Sunday monthly column in the Deccan Herald, a leading Indian daily. He has also written on international political and economic issues for The Washington Post, The Straits Times, The Sydney Morning Herald, The Telegraph, South China Morning Post, The National Interest, Haaretz and other leading publications around the world.
He is a Founding Partner and Editor-in-Chief of Freedom Gazette, an acclaimed Indian policy advocacy site, and hosts the Gazette's Beyond the Headlines podcast on India and the world.
Zeeshan previously worked as Research Officer for the India Policy Initiative at The Carter Center, and with Kearney, the global consulting firm, advising governments in the Middle East on modernization reforms and was involved in strategizing the G20 summit in Riyadh 2020. He has also served at the United Nations in New York and holds a Master’s degree in International Affairs from Columbia University. He is currently based in Washington, DC.
